A recent meeting held at the Media Ministry on TV ratings was believed by many to be unprecedented in recent history. 

While the Media Minister and the Media Secretary spoke on ways of resolving the issue, senior members of the maharaja organization launched a brutal assault on the rating system that left the Hiru CEO unable to come up with a single word. 

Observers at the meeting wathced as network chiefs including Chevaan Daniel & Nedra Weeerasinghe shared their views powerfully. Daniel called for an immediate suspecnsion of the system while Weerasinge argued that no amount of fixing the existing system would help. Deranas Wikramage said that their ratings were good, but the sample size should be looked at. The Hiru TV CEO however, when asked to comment, could not utter a word and looked defeated maybe after the Maharaja attack. 

The Media Minister Keheliya rambukwella however stern and led the meeting from the front. He stressed the need to ensure that ratings were fair and the system was foolproof. 

Media Secretary Charitha Herath meanwhile was also in a bouyant mood and opined that if there was any question on the trustworthiness of ratings, they would cause huge damage to the industry.

A massive scandal within Trinity College, Kandy, and the Anglican church, which was nearly a decade in the making finally hit the fan  with the former Anglican Bishop of Kurunegala, Kumara Illangasinghe, accusing the incumbent Bishop Shantha Francis in a signed affidavit, of having drawn his mother in law’s pension for years after she had died was reported in the newspapers ..........



The matter is being investigated by the Police and it's only a matter of time when the Rt Rev Bishop will be indicted in Courts. 

 FYI , being a crime against the State ( pensions fund) it is a non bailable offense .

මගේ අනාගත සහකරුවා ගැන ඉදිරියේදී කියන්නම් - nathasha perera

යොවුන් පරපුරේ ආදරය දිනාගත් නතාෂා පෙරේරා කලා ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ යොවුන් පරපුරේ කැපී පෙනෙනතරුණියකි. ගායිකාවක් වශයෙන් වඩාත් ප‍්‍රකට ඈ පසුගිය කාලෙ පුරාවටම විශේෂ කලා කටයුත්තක නම් යෙදුණු බවක් පෙනෙන්ට තිබුණේ.... ඒ නතාෂා පසුගිය කාලෙම ගත කළේ ඇගේ අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතුවල නිරත වී සිටි නිසාවෙනි. ඇය ඇගේ නීති උපාධියේ වැඩ කටයුතු අවසන් කළේ පසුගිය අවුරුද්දේ ය. මේ දිනවල නතාෂා නීතිඥවරියක් ලෙස දිවුරුම් දෙන්න පෙර කළ යුතු විභාගවලට සූදානම් වෙමින් සිටියි.

ඒ  වගේම ඇය ළඟදීම ඇගේ අලූ‍ත්ම ගීතය  රූපරචනයක් සමගම සිය රසික රසිකාවියන් වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන්නත් බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන් පසුවනවා. ඉකුත් දින පුවත් පත් හමුවක් හා එක් වූ නතාෂා ඇගේ අලූ‍ත්ම තොරතුරු පිළිබදව කිවේ මෙලෙසිනි.

ලමම පුංචි කාලේ ආශා කළේ වෛද්‍යවරියක් වෙන්න. නමුත් ඒ ආශාව කාලයක් ගත වන විට වෙනස් වුණා. නීතිය හදාරන්න මම තීරණය කළේ ඒ විෂයට ඇති වුණු ආශාවක් නිසා. මම විශ්වාස කරන දේ තමයි, කලා ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ මොන යම් ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයක නිරත වුවත් හොඳ අධ්‍යාපනයක් ලබා තිබීම අවශ්‍යයි කියන එක.

මම හරිම ආශාවෙන් ඉන්නේ නීති වෘත්තියේ යෙදෙන්න. එහෙම වුණත් මම ගීත ගායනය, රංගනය වැනි කලා කටයුතුවල හැමදාම නිරත වෙනවා. මොකද ලනතාෂා පෙරේරාවල මේ ලෝකය හඳුනා ගත්තේ කලා ශිල්පිනියක් විදියටනෙ. කවදාවත් මම කලාව අතහරින්නේ නෑ.....

පසුගිය කළේ මට රංගනයට ආරාධනා ගණනාවක්ම ලැබුණා. නමුත් ඒ හැම ආරාධනයක්ම මට ප‍්‍රතික්ෂේප කරන්න සිදුවුණේ, මගේ අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු නිසා. රංගනය ගැන සඳහන් කරන විට ටෙලිනාට්‍යයක වුණත් චිත‍්‍රපටයක වුණත් රූපගත කිරීම්වලට විශාල කාලයක් කැප කරන්න  ඕන.

නමුත් එලෙස කැප කළ හැකි කාලයක් පසුගිය වකවානුවේ මට තිබුණේ නෑ.... මට ආරාධනා කළ මම ප‍්‍රතික්ෂේප කළ චරිත රඟපෑ නිළියන් ඔවුන් ඒ චරිත හොඳින් කළ නිසා අද රංගන ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ ගොඩක් දුර ගිහින් තියෙනවා. ඉදිරියේ දී මම මගේ කා‍ලයෙන් වැඩි කොටසක් රංගන සහ ගායනා කටයුතුවලට යොදවන්න බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.

මම ඒ ගීත ඇල්බමය ඉදිරිපත් කරල ගොඩක් කල්. නමුත් ඒ ගැන තවමත් ඉහළ ප‍්‍රතිචාර ලැබෙනවා. විශේෂයෙන්ම මම එඞ්වඞ් ජයකොඩි මාමා එක්ක ගායනා කළ ලසුළඟක් වී මං එනවා....ල ගීතයට අවුරුදු 11ක් පමණ ගත වෙලත් ගොඩක් දෙනෙක් ආශා කරනවා. අදත් මාව හඳුන්වන්නේ ලසුළඟක් වී මං එනවාල ගීතය ගායනා කළ නතාෂා කියලයි.

මගේ බාහිර පෙනුම පවත්වාගෙන යන්න මම විශේෂ කිසිම දෙයක් කරන්නේ නෑ..... මේ වනතෙක් මම ව්‍යායාම කරන්නවත් පෙලඹිලා නෑ..... හැබැයි ඉදිරියේ දී නම් ව්‍යායාම කරන්න හිතාගෙන ඉන්නවා. මම විශ්වාස කරන විදියට කෙනෙකුගේ බාහිර පෙනුම ලස්සන වෙන්නේ හිත ලස්සන වුණොත් විතරයි. හිත නිතරම දුකෙන් නම්, ඊර්ෂ්‍යාව, ක්‍රෝධය හිතේ තියෙනවා නම් බාහිර පෙනුමත් අවලස්සන වෙනවා. සමාජයේ කාටත් උදව් කරගෙන කාටවත් ඊර්ෂ්‍යා නොකර හිත සතුටින් තබාගෙන ඉන්නවා නම් බාහිර පෙනුම ලස්සන කරගන්න මේකප් කරන්න  ඕන නැහැ.

මගේ අනාගත සහකරුවා මම ඉදිරියේ දී කියන්නම්.


මා පිළිබඳ කට කතා ඇතුළත්න් විස්තරත් ඇතැම් අවස්ථාවල වෙබ් අ‍ඩවිවල පළවෙලා තිබුණා. මම ඒවාට කලබල වුණේ නෑ..... මම ඒවායින් හිත රිදවාගන්නේ නෑ..... කොයිතරම් සත්‍ය දෙයක් වුණත්, කොයිතරම් බොරු දෙයක් වුණත් වෙබ් සයිට් එකක ගිහින් සතියක් යන විට ඒක මිනිසුන්ට අමතක වෙලා යනවා. මම ඔය දේවල් දිහා බලන්නේ හරිම උපේක්ෂාවෙන්
